What are your opening hours?

Our opening hours vary by season, and you can find them at the bottom of all our website pages.

Do I need to buy a ticket in advance?

We recommend buying tickets in advance if you have a desired time for the tours, as they can fill up quickly and sell out. You can also buy a ticket at the Farm Shop.

Can you visit Ramme outside of opening hours?

The short answer is yes. The hotel is open all year round and the restaurant is open in the evenings. The animals on the farm also live their happy lives outdoors outside opening hours. There are many nice hiking trails in the area around Ramme where you can walk around the clock, before and after opening hours.

Can I walk in the garden without booking a tour?

It is possible to walk in the Havlyst Gardens on your own during opening hours, after purchasing a Ramme Ticket.

Are Ramme’s areas accessible for wheelchair users and people with reduced mobility?

Ramme’s farm and visitor area with food facilities, shops, and art gallery are universally designed, but are located in natural terrain with gravel roads. The Havlyst Gardens and the road to Edvard Munch’s country house are located on a steep slope and in natural, rugged terrain, with gravel paths, nature trails and bridges. We recommend booking a private tour if there is a need for an adapted route.

Can I bring my child/stroller to The Havlyst Gardens?

Children are most welcome in the Havlyst Gardens accompanied by an adult. Visiting the Havlyst Gardens is at your own risk. There are several fountains and ponds, birds, and animals, as well as rare and poisonous plants in the park and we ask that both children and adults show consideration. Strollers can be parked at the entrance hall. Due to varied terrain and narrow paths, we recommend using a child carrier or similar.

Can I bring a dog to the Havlyst Gardens?

Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed in the Havlyst Gardens.

Is photography allowed?

Photography for private use is permitted. Please share your memories on social media so that your friends can see where you are too! Feel free to use #rammegård #HavlystGardens

Can I bring my own food and drink?

The Moon Square at the main gate is a separate area where you can enjoy your own food and drink. Food and drink bought outside of Ramme is not allowed elsewhere on the property.

Do you take table reservations?

We recommend reserving a table for dining in the restaurant. You can reserve a table here.

The café is open 11:00–17:00, no reservation needed.

Can I bring my dog?

As long as you keep your dog at your side, and on a leash, they can accompany you at Ramme, but they are not allowed indoors, on guided tours or in the Havlyst Gardens.

Do you have gift cards?

The Farm Shop has gift cards on sale. Ramme Fjord Hotel has its own gift cards, which you can find here.
